About me

Hi, I am 张艺 Yi Zhang /i tʂɑŋ/. I am currently a undergraduate student in the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing Normal University.

My research is in the field of phonetics. Specifically, I focus on the perception and production of tones, the use of speech cues by different groups, with particular attention to the utilization of voice quality cue. I am also interested in language evolution and contact, particularly the phenomenon of multidialectalism in the Changsha, China.
